NEW LOOK HAWKS TRAVEL TO NIAGARA ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT

WELLAND, ON: The Humber Hawks men's volleyball team, who upset the highly touted Niagara Knights in the first semester on home court, will travel to Welland on Wednesday night in hopes another victory. The first serve is set, at the Niagara College Athletic Centre, is scheduled for a first serve at 8:00 pm.

As mentioned above, the Hawks outlasted the Knights 3-2 in an exciting match earlier this year, but in the case of the Hawks, the names have changed. Humber will floor a very different lineup on Wednesday night, but still a team currently in a solid playoff position. A win here, especially against the 9-2 Knights, would further secure their playoff spot.

Niagara, winners of four straight since their loss to the Hawks in November, have won both of their matches this semester, including a big win over Mohawk.

The Hawks lost their leading scorer at the break, but still have able bodied players, including freshman sensation Clayton Blanchette. His mark of 2.9 points per set leads all Hawk teammates. In his last match he posted 14 offensive points, which included 10 kills. Four other Hawks check in with marks above 2.0 pps.

The Knights boast a two-some with pps averages over 3. Nathan Snippe leads with a mark of 3.8 pps, while Jeff Scott slides in right behind at 3.4.
