HAWKS LOOK TO TAKE FLIGHT IN KITCHENER AGAINST CONESTOGA

By: Natalie Stoberman

KITCHENER, ON: Humber takes on the Conestoga Condors Wednesday evening, to defend their 2-0 record.

The Hawks have already toppled the Sheridan Bruins and Redeemer Royals while only dropping one set and averaging a staggering 12.43 kills per set. Nathan Murdock and Jordan Darlington have helped the Hawks dominate on the court with a combined 66.5 points recorded in their first two matches, good for Murdock and Darlington to own third and fifth best scorers in the league this early in the season. With the high calibre offence, Humber has held their first two opponents to an average of 10.1 points per set with their .315 hitting percentage that's set the tone for an efficient offence.

Conestoga is still looking for their first win and have been on the defensive back end of attacks from the 74 digs they've had to counter with. Wesley Yau leads the way for the Condors on offence with 3.1 points per set and a team high 31 points and 26 kills.

First serve goes down at 8 p.m.
