OAKVILLE, ON: The Humber men's varsity team took on the Sheridan Bruins at Sheridan on October 24, 2015 for their season opener.

With a nearly all-rookie team, there were high anticipations on the Hawks performance as they took to their first regular season game.

Humber started the first set well, and was very back and forth with Sheridan for the entire first game.  Jordan and Simon were key players in the first set for the Hawks. A big block from Jordan allowed for momentum to go the Hawk's way. Shortly after a smart setter dump from Simon proved helpful for the hawks. They won the first set 25-19.

While the second set was underway, Jordan and Nathan had huge kills and the Hawks took the win 25-22.

The third set proved to be a tough, yet exciting one for the Hawks as it was very back and forth until the end, where Sheridan won 26-24 by serving tough, a very close game.

The Hawks took the fourth set 25-23, again another close one, as Jordan came out with a huge slam block to end the game.

The Hawks will play the Redeemer Royals for their home opener on Thursday October 29, 2015.
