SOCCER POWERS HUMBER AND SHERIDAN MEET ON TUESDAY

ETOBICOKE, ON: The Humber Hawks women's soccer team, currently undefeated at 5-0-1 and ranked twelth in the country, will take on a formidable foe in the Sheridan Bruins on Tuesday evening at Centennial Park Stadium.

Kick off is slated for 6:30 pm.

As mentioned above, the Hawks enter the game with a 5-0-1 record and place first in the Central Division. Sheridan checks in with a solid 3-1-2 record, with their only loss to the undefeated Seneca Sting. In fact, it was the Sting that have put the only blemish on the Hawks record, a scoreless tie at Seneca.

Humber leads the division in offense, pouring in 19 goals in the six games played. Rebecca Spratt leads an impressive number of rookies in the Hawks line-up, all of whom have done all of the Hawks scoring. Spratt leads with four goals, while a fivesome of Humber players have two or more goals.

Sheridan is an offensive juggernaut as well, just behind the Hawks with 18 markers. Two Sheridan players have done the most damage for the Bruins. Viktoria Vantzen has hit the twine six times, while Kendra Cooper has five.

On the defensive side of the pitch, Humber posts a goals against average of 0.50. Sheridan's mark is very good at 1.00 gpg, but even more impressive as five of the six goals were in a single game.

These two teams have had a storied past, and important games against each other in OCAA women's soccer, and this game should be another fine chapter in their history
