A fresh team and a fresh start is what the Humber Hawks women's soccer team is looking to turn their fortunes around with this season.
The Hawks open up their season Tuesday afternoon against the George Brown Huskies and Centennial Park Stadium.
Humber finished the regular season last year as the central division champions with a 7-2-1 overall record. However, their season soon ended as they lost their first playoff game to Cambrian College 1-0.
Last season, the Hawks defeated the Huskies in both matches, outscoring their opponent with a combined score of 8-1.
With returning fourth-year players, Alexandra Giannone and Rachel Spratt in the lineup, Humber's defence will be hard to penetrate. While offensive recruits, Giulia Zanardi and Rebecca Spratt will be key components to help the Hawks get on the scoreboard.
