HAWKS TRAVEL TO NIAGARA TO KEEP STREAK ALIVE

WELLAND, ON: The Hawks women's soccer team (4-0-1, 1st OCAA Central Division) looks to keep their winning streak alive as they travel to Welland, Ontario to challenge the Niagara Knights (1-1-2, 4th OCAA Central Division) Saturday, October 1.

The two teams matched up earlier this season at Centennial Park Stadium where the Hawks were victorious 4-1.

Two goals scored in the first 11 minutes of play proved to be key as Humber used the early lead to control the pace of the game. Generating multiple scoring opportunities and outshooting their opponents 21-9, the Hawks were forceful throughout the duration of the game. However, the Knights stayed in the game with their quick decision-making and smooth transitions, which put them on the board with a goal.

After a few rough games, the Hawks will look to repeat the win and remain first in the OCAA Central Division.

Kick off is at 2:00 p.m. at Youngs Sportsplex in Welland, Ontario.
