The Storyline
Top-ranked Humber men's volleyball will put its historic regular-season in the rearview and will set its sights on capturing the program's first provincial title since 2012. The Hawks open postseason action Feb. 22 when Centennial (5-13, 8th East) visits the North Campus Gym. Game time is set for 5 p.m. and will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network. 

Last Time Out
Humber volleyball put the finishing touches on the program's best-ever regular season, finishing the year 18-0 while only dropping two sets. The Hawks concluded the season winning 39 consecutive sets, sweeping St. Clair at home, 3-0. In the win, senior Andrew Blakey led the team with seven kills, four blocks, and two aces. 

Previous Meeting
The Hawks and Colts are meeting in postseason action for the first time. These two programs last faced off in 1994 and Centennial 4-2 all-time at the North Campus Gym.

Scouting Centennial 

  • Centennial ranks eighth in the OCAA for digs per set, at 8.97.
  • Second-year Marvin Reid leads the Colts, with a total of 122 kills on an average of 2.22 per set.
  • The Colts are in search of their first provincial title since 1998.

Perfection
Humber ran the table for the first time since 2005 when the Hawks finished 13-0 and went on to win the program's first OCAA title.

Ace Up His Sleeve
Jake Gomes finished his third season with 91 career aces - the fourth-most in program history.

Efficiency
Rrezart Sadiku finished the season third in the league with a swing percentage of .380.

Block Party
Senior Andrew Blakey concludes his career with 91 blocks - the eighth-most in program history.

Freshman Phenom
Highly-touted recruit Joshua Fadare led the top-ranked team in the nation in kills per set (3.03), points (147) and points per set (3.5).

At the Helm
In his 25th season, Coach Wilkins is 46-32 (.590) all-time in OCAA postseason action. During his tenure, the Hawks have captured four provincial titles. 

What's Next?
With a win, No. 1 Humber will advance to the 2020 OCAA Final Eight Tournament, hosted by Fleming College, Feb. 27-29.
