ETOBICOKE — Top-ranked Humber men's volleyball swept its seventh straight match, defeating the Mohawk Mountaineers (7-6, 5th West) Saturday afternoon at the North Campus Gym. The final set scores were 25-14, 25-20, and 25-20.

Back-to-back kills by Rrezart Sakdiku created a positive start for the Hawks, as the Mountaineers had them competing from the get-go. Freshman Joshua Fadare added to this, bouncing kills over Mohawk's defence. Humber put on a show for the gymnasium, with unbelievable digs by Rrezart Sadiku and Rady Kim, shell-shocking players and the crowd alike. Eduardo Silvia Ferreira and Andrew Blakey added their piece to the game, nailing down kills that disabled the Mountaineers' ability. Service aces by Joshua Fadare helped secure the first and second set at scores of 25-14 and 25-20.

Humber continued to dominate the match as they entered the third set, with a kill by Joshua Fadare and an ace from Jake Gomes to start a 2-0 lead. Eduardo Silvia Ferreira stayed disciplined at the service line, earning a four-point run to increase the point spread with the Mountaineers. Taking their final timeout of the match at 13-7, Mohawk had trouble keeping up with Humber's energy. Kills by Rrezart Sadiku and Andrew Blakey were too much to handle for Mohawk, as the Hawks finished off the final set, 25-20.

Rrezart Sadiku earned Hawks Nation Player of the Game, finishing with 15 kills and five digs for Humber. Joshua Fadare followed behind with ten kills and three aces.
