Elson, Fadare Earn Humber Student-Athlete of the Week Honours
ETOBICOKE – As the varsity season comes to an end, CCAA silver medallists Brittany Elson and Joshua Fadare have been named Humber Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week honours for the week of Mar. 9 to Mar. 15.

Brittany Elson and the women's curling team captured the CCAA silver medal Sunday afternoon in Manitoba. After nine total matches, the Hawks finished 5-4 and won the program's third silver medal since 2014. Brittany had a fantastic tournament for Humber and was named a CCAA first team all-star.

Josh Fadare and the Hawks left New Brunswick with a CCAA silver medal. Fadare helped Humber volleyball reach the national final for just the second time in 37 years. In three matches, Fadare finished with a team-high 40 points on 35 kills, four aces, and a block. At the conclusion of the tournament, the OCAA rookie of the year was named a CCAA first team all-star.
