The Storyline
Top-ranked Humber men's volleyball returns home as they prepare for their final matches of the regular season. The Hawks will welcome Redeemer  (11-6, 3rd West) on Feb. 13 at 8 p.m. and the game will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network.

Last Time Out
Humber volleyball concluded its regular-season road schedule over the weekend, picking up straight-set victories over Cambrian and Boréal. Humber athlete of the week Maximum Crowder played in his home town of Sudbury, recording a career-high 14 kills with a .478 hitting percentage.

Previous Meeting
The Hawks last saw the Redeemer Royals on Dec. 6 while on the road. Led by senior Andrew Blakey with eight kills, two blocks and an ace, Humber earned a three-set victory. The final scores were 25-17, 25-22, and 30-28.

  • Redeemer currently sits first in the OCAA for serving aces, racking up 181 as a team.
  • Brayden Stoffers leads the Royals with 211 kills and ranks first in the OCAA for points per set at 5.1, and total points at 277.

Streakin'
Humber's 16-match win streak to start the season is a new program record while winning 11 straight without dropping a set. Under the guidance of head coach Wayne Wilkins, the Hawks have run the table twice (1999 & 2005), dropping a program-low three sets in 1999.

The Hawks are leading the league in scoring, averaging 16.4 PTS/S. Humber is also dominating from the service line, picking up a league-best 2.50 SA/S.

Ace Up His Sleeve
Jake Gomes enters the match fifth all-time in program history with 87 career service aces - two behind Kamyn Wilkins for fourth place.

Great Wall
Middle blockers Andrew Blakey and Maximum Crowder have a combined 44 blocks this season.

True freshman Joshua Fadare is leading the top-ranked program in scoring, averaging 4.0 PTS/S.
