LONDON - No. 1 Humber men's volleyball improve their win streak to 13 straight, after taking on the Fanshawe Falcons (6-7, 7th West) on Jan 30. The final scores were 25-16, 25-18, and 25-16.

Humber got straight to work as they entered their Saturday afternoon match, with kills by Joshua Fadare and Rrezart Sadiku leaving an early impression on the Falcons. Taking early leads in both sets, the Hawks were unphased by the energy in the host gym. Dime passing by libero Rady Kim gave ample opportunity for outside Eduardo Silvia Ferreira to crush the ball. Without dropping the lead, Humber glided into a 25-16 victory in the first set, and a 25-18 victory in the second.

Rrezart Sadiku got the Hawks going in the final set, earning a kill then hitting the service line with a four-point service run. Blocks by Andrew Blakey gave Fanshawe little wiggle room at the net, making it easy for the Hawks to stay in control of the court. As Humber found themselves in a 16-9 lead, the Falcons called timeout. The Hawks did not miss a beat as they reentered the court, continuing to run the game with unbeatable kills by Eduardo Silva Ferreira. Making it look easy, Rrezart Sadiku finished off the set at 25-16 with a kill reflected off the block.

Second-year Eduardo Silva Ferreira led the Hawks to victory with 13 kills, with Rrezart Sadiku following behind at 10 kills, an ace and a block.
