PETERBOROUGH - No. 1 Humber men's volleyball recorded its 16th consecutive sweep, dropping the Georgian Grizzlies in the OCAA semifinal round. The win earned the Hawks a spot in the 2020 CCAA national championship tournament and a shot at the program's seventh OCAA title. The final set scores were 25-19, 25-17 and 25-18.

The Hawks came out strong as they entered their semifinal match, managing to hold onto the lead throughout the first and second sets. Service runs by Rrezart Sadiku and Safon Manning paired with kills by Eduardo Silvia Ferreira, kept Humber out of reach on the scoreboard. Big-time digs by third-year libero Rady Kim made it hard for Georgian to earn points offensively, while huge kills by Maximum Crowder and Joshua Fadare finalized the first and second sets at 25-19 and 25-17.

Earning the first point of the final set with an ace, Georgian was determined to push the game to another set. Trading the lead to begin the final set, the Hawks began to slow down Georgian with blocks by Maximum Crowder. Eduardo Silvia Ferreira hit the service line for two service runs throughout the set, widening Humber's advantage to five points. Humber maintained control of the court for the rest of the game, with Joshua Fadare finishing off the set at 25-18 with an outside kill.

Joshua Fadare was the OCAA Player of the Match, earning 11 kills, two service aces and a block.
