2020 Humber Male Athlete of the Year: Jake Gomes

ETOBICOKE – Jake Gomes helped lead Humber volleyball to its best season in nearly a decade. Jake and the Hawks finished the year with a 24-1 record, capturing the CCAA silver medal. Humber set program records for most wins, longest win streak, and longest set win streak.

At provincials, Gomes guided the Hawks to their first OCAA Championship since 2012 and was named the tournament MVP after finishing with 89 assists and six aces.

In a road victory over Fanshawe, Jake became the first player in program history to record 1,000 career assists.
