The Storyline
No. 1 Humber men's volleyball will begin its CCAA title Mar. 12 as the team travels to Fredericton, News Brunswick for the 2020 CCAA National Championship, hosted by St. Thomas University. The Hawks open the Final Eight tournament against the Holland Hurricanes (7-8, ACAC). Game time is set for noon eastern standard time.
Last Time Out
The Hawks captured the 2020 OCAA Championship, defeating Durham in the finals on Feb. 29, 3-0. Jakes Gomes was named championship MVP, while Rrezart Sadiku was selected to the all-tournament team. Humber finished the OCAA season with a 22-0 record, dropping only two sets along the way.
Scouting Holland
- The Hurricanes won four straight matches to reach the ACAA finals, before falling to St. Thomas in straight sets, 3-0.
- Nick Blewitt led the ACAA in hitting percentage at .367.
- Holland has never won a CCAA medal.
Last Meeting
Humber met Holland in the postseason for the first time last year, defeating the Hurricanes in the placement match, 3-1. Andrew Blakey finished with 11 points on eight kills, two blocks and an ace.

In his 25th season at the helm, Coach Wilkins is three wins away from tying his brother and women's volleyball coach Chris Wilkins for the most wins in Humber varsity history.
St. Thomas
After winning the program's first provincial title since 1975, the Hawks went to nationals held by St. Thomas in 2005. Humber finished in fourth place, losing to TRU in the bronze medal match, 3-2.
