HAWKS COMPLETE PERFECT REGULAR SEASON WITH 5-0 HOME WIN

VAUGHAN, ON: The Humber Hawks women's soccer team completed a perfect undefeated and untied season at 10-0 by way of a 5-0 win over the Sheridan Bruins (5-5-0) on Wednesday night at the OSA Centre in Vaughan.

As with their division clinching game with Cambrian on Sunday afternoon, Humber controlled this game from start to end. Danielle Canhoto (4th) netted the first goal of the game in the ninth minute, and extended its lead in the 36th minute by way of a marker from Claudia Piazza (5th).

Early in the second half, it was Piazza (6th) who scored again, this time in 55th minute. Sonia Sahota (1st) scored the fourth of the game at the 79th minute.  The final goal of the game came off the foot of Megan Voutour (3rd) at the 87th minute.

Vanessa Fiore recorded yet another clean sheet. In fact, Humber has only given up three goals all year, while scoring 39 of their own.

Alexandra Giannone and Rachel Spratt were selected as the "Hawk Nation" Player(s) of the Game.

The Hawks will advance to the OCAA Championships at Cambrian College, but their opponent has yet to be determined.
