HAWKS DOMINATE IN 9-0 SEASON OPENING WIN OVER UTM

MISSISSAUGA, ON: The Humber Hawks women's soccer team got off to a roaring start on Sunday afternoon, as they dominated the UTM Eagles by a score of 9-0, played on the Eagles pitch in Mississauga.

Rebecca Spratt opened the scoring early in the first half. It was Giulia Zanardi that then took over the game, scoring four of the Hawks next five goals. After tallying the natural hat trick, she popped her fourth after a marker by Shaniece Bennett. Freshman Victoria Rodrigues scored the next two to open up her post-secondary career. Emily Tirabassi completed the scoring.

Hawk Keeper Vanessa Fiore, recorded the clean sheet and was credited with the victory.

Humber will take to the pitch once again this Wednesday, as they travel to Kitchener for a battle with the Conestoga Condors. The kick-off is set for 5:00 pm at Riverside Park - Rogers Field.
