HAWKS HOPING TO KEEP MOMENTUM IN FOUR GAME SERIES

ETOBICOKE, ON: The Humber Hawks Softball (3-5, 5th OCAA) team is gearing up for a weekend of tough competition as they take on the Durham College Lords (5-1, 3rd OCAA) in back to back games on Thursday, September 22 and Sunday, September 25.

Just eight games into the season there are already two records on the verge of being broken for the Hawks. Myranda Pierson (Toronto) is just one win away from passing Humber's Hall of Fame inductee, Jessica O'Quinn, in all-time wins as a pitcher. Another record breaking potential is Bonnie Gillingham (Brampton) who is a mere 5 hits away from becoming Humber's all-time hits leader.

The Hawks are coming off of a two game win over Mohawk College where they won 15-5 and 7-1 in the series. Looking to keep their momentum, Humber will open up the series on the road playing the Lords at Durham Field.

With just one loss in six games, Durham is looking to stay on top and defend their 2015 OCAA Championship title.  St. Clair is in first in the current OCAA standing with a total of 14 points, however; Durham is trailing close with ten points and two games back.

The Hawks and Lords match up Thursday, September 22 at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Durham Field and meet again September 25 at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. at Wildwood Park #2.
