The Storyline
No. 1 Humber women's basketball (6-0, 1st West) will face its toughest test of the season Thursday when No. 10 Mohawk (6-0, 2nd West) visits the North Campus gym. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
Last Time Out
All-Canadian Ceejay Nofuente nearly missed a quadruple-double during Humber's 102-43 win over Redeemer (2-3, 6th West) on Saturday, Nov. 11. Nofuente finished with a game-high 22 points, nine rebounds, nine assists, eight rebounds, and eight steals. Aleena Domingo added 14 points, while Miea Campbell-Johnson finished with 12 points and Jahnae Gyles rounded out Humber's double-digit scorers with 11.
The Hawks led from the opening tip and improved to 38-0 all-time against Redeemer.
Scouting Mohawk
This game may be a preview of the 2017 OCAA title as both of these programs have met in the finals for three straight years.
The Mountaineers are led by Stef Hrymak, who is currently 12th in the league averaging 15.6 points per game. Jasmina Kucic is averaging a double-double for Mohawk on the young season, with 12.2 points and 11.4 rebounds per game.
Mohawk has won 12 straight regular season games, dating back to Jan. 28 in a 74-53 loss at home to Humber.
Last Meeting
The last time these teams met, Humber captured its third straight provincial title in a 76-40 win. Ceejay Nofuente and Aleena Domingo finished with 25 points each, while Humber's defence was able to hold Stef Hrymak to eight points on 2-of-10 shooting from the floor.

Humber is the top scoring offence in the province, averaging 97.2 points per game.
Scoring at a 44.7 percent (231-of-517) clip, the Hawks are the second most efficient scoring team in the league, right behind No. 14 Fanshawe.

Nofuente now sits tenth on the OCAA all-time scoring list with 1,009 career points, one point behind Sheridan's Shylanda Saunders (2011-15).
Chasing History
Sitting at 64 straight wins, only Algonquin – 67 straight from Nov. 5, 2011, to Jan. 15, 2015 – has put together a longer win streak in OCAA history than Humber.
The Hawks have won three-straight OCAA titles from 2014-17, one away from joining Algonquin, who won four-straight from 2011-15.

Humber has won 33 consecutive games at the North Campus Gym. Its last loss came on Jan. 12, 2014 to Mohawk, 67-39.
At the Helm
Ajay Sharma returns to the sidelines for his seventh season and is 11 wins from tying Humber Hall of Famer Jim Henderson (1991 – 2000) as the all-time winningest head coach in program history.
Sharma has directed the Hawks to a period of unprecedented prosperity in the form of three consecutive CCAA tournament appearances – including the first national championship in program history – and three straight provincial titles. Sharma owns a 122-22 (.847) career record.
