The Storyline
Top-ranked Humber will conclude its 2017-18 regular season home schedule Saturday evening when the St. Clair Saints (10-7, 5th West) visit the North Campus Gym. The game will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network at 6 p.m.
Last Time Out
Humber (18-0, 1st West) overcame an eight-point deficit to beat No. 11 Fanshawe, 65-54, in London. After ten minutes of play, the Hawks trailed for the first time all season, but their offence was able to get back on track and win the next three frames.
Senior Ceejay Nofuente recorded another double-double, finishing with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Aleena Domingo added 13 points and nine rebounds, while Jahnae Gyles and Miea Campbell-Johnson finished with 11 and ten points, respectively, for Humber (18-0, 1st West).
Scouting St. Clair
- After winning five straight in November, the Saints have lost five of their last nine games, dropping to fifth in the OCAA West Division.
- St. Clair is led by 2015 OCAA Player of the Year, Shannon Kennedy, who is averaging a team-high 14.9 ppg on 35.2 per percent shooting from the floor.
- Kennedy needs three more points to become the all-time leading scorer in OCAA history.
- The Saints rank second in the league in steals, averaging 17.8 per game.
- St. Clair has dropped eight straight games at the North Campus Gym.
Previous Meeting
Concluding its three-game road trip to begin the season, Humber posted a 95-59 win over St. Clair Oct. 29 at the SportsPlex. The Hawks were led by senior Ceejay Nofuente who finished with a game-high 22 points.
Humber also saw great production from freshman Jaime Gordon, who added a career-high 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting from the floor and Aleena Domingo with 11 points and a team-high nine rebounds. Leticia Lopez and Laura Meadows added 11 points each as well.
Logan Kucera paced the way for the Saints, finishing with a team-high 21 points, while Shannon Kennedy was held to eight points on 4-of-17 (23.5 percent) shooting from the floor.
Grad Night
Beryl Mefful, Stephanie Antwi, Aleena Domingo, and Ceejay Nofuente will be playing in their final regular season game at the North Campus Gym.
Getting Defensive
Humber ranks first in field goal defence (26.6), first in scoring defence (44.1), first in blocks (5.7) and first in steals (20.3).
Ceejay Nofuente leads the league in steals (139) and is second in blocks (25), while teammate Laura Meadows sits seventh with 20 blocked shots.
Under Ajay Sharma, the Hawks have held opponents to 50 points or less 11 times this season.
300-Point Club
On Feb. 3, Ceejay Nofuente became the second Humber player to score 300-plus points in consecutive seasons.
Aleena Domingo needs 12 points to become the fourth Humber student-athlete to join the 300-point club.

Just Win
Humber's win at Fanshawe was its 76th consecutive OCAA victory, extending its league record.
The previous mark of 67 was established by head coach John MacInnis and the Algonquin Thunder from Nov. 2011 – Jan. 2015. The Hawks matched that mark with a 28-point win over No. 15 Fanshawe on Nov. 15.
Humber's Dynamic Duo
Entering the 2017-18 season, no Humber student-athlete had ever reached the 1,000-point club. 13 games later, Humber's dynamic duo of Ceejay Nofuente (1,238) and Aleena Domingo (1,094) started the club, becoming the second-highest scoring teammates in league history.
From Downtown
Jahnae Gyles and Ceejay Nofuente have combined for 4.9 triples per game this season, ranking third and sixth in the OCAA with 2.6 and 2.3 treys apiece, respectively.
Humber ranks first in the conference in 3-point field goals made per game (10.3).
Despite shooting 19.3 percent (11-of-51) over its last three games, Humber still leads the league in 3-point percentage (33.6).

Humber has recorded 23 double-doubles in 18 games this season.

Banner Night
Before the game, Humber Athletics will be celebrating the accomplishments of Ceejay Nofuente, the most decorated student-athlete in OCAA women's basketball history. Nofuente's jersey will be retired and her banner will hang in the North Campus Gym, forever cementing her legacy as one of the best to ever play at Humber College.

The Hawks are in pursuit of their fourth consecutive provincial championship, looking to become only the second program in OCAA history to complete the feat. Algonquin won four straight from 2011 – 2014.

Nofuente sits third on the OCAA all-time scoring list with 1,238 career points - 103 points behind Shannon Kennedy of St. Clair for second place.
With 1,094 points, Aleena Domingo trails Lindsay Panchan (Durham, 2014-17) by 15 points for eighth all-time.
Alone At The Top
In Saturday's win at Fanshawe, head coach Ajay Sharma became the programs all-time winningest coach, surpassing Hall of Famer Jim Henderson's (1991 – 2000) mark of 133 wins.
Sharma has directed the Hawks to a period of unprecedented prosperity in the form of three consecutive CCAA tournament appearances – including the first national championship in program history – and three straight provincial titles.
