The Storyline
Top-ranked Humber women's basketball will face its toughest road test of the season Saturday evening on the road at No. 11 Fanshawe (14-2, 2nd West). Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
Last Time Out
Humber (17-0, 1st West) cruised to a 98-31 win Wednesday night at UTM (5-12, 8th West). The Hawks scored the game's first 27 points, holding the Eagles to two points in the opening frame, the lowest quarter total in the Ajay Sharma era.
Senior Aleena Domingo paced the Hawks with 14 points and six rebounds, on 7-of-11 shooting (63.6 percent) from the floor.
Jahnae Gyles added a team-high 14 points as well, while Miea Campbell-Johnson rounded out Humber's double-digit scorers with 12 points. Felicia Velasquez finished with a season-high nine assists, and Ceejay Nofuente ended with seven steals and three blocked shots.
Scouting Fanshawe
- The Falcons currently own a seven-game win streak, beating their opponents by an average of 22.9 points per game during that span.

On Nov. 26, Humber beat Fanshawe, 95-67, at the North Campus Gym, tying the OCAA record with its 67th consecutive win. Ceejay Nofuente scored a season-high 29 points, leading three players in double figures for the top-ranked Hawks.
Chuot Angou finished with a team-high 16 points for Fanshawe in the loss.

The Hawks have scored 90-plus points in 14 games this season, the most in OCAA history.

Humber ranks first in field goal defence (26.3), first in scoring defence (44.5), first in blocks (6.0) and first in steals (20.6).

Just Win
Humber's win at UTM was its 75th consecutive OCAA victory, extending its league record.
The previous mark of 67 was established by head coach John MacInnis and the Algonquin Thunder from Nov. 2011 – Jan. 2015. The Hawks matched that mark with a 28-point win over No. 15 Fanshawe on Nov. 15.
Humber's Dynamic Duo
Entering the 2017-18 season, no Humber student-athlete had ever reached the 1,000-point club. 13 games later, Humber's dynamic duo of Ceejay Nofuente (1,220) and Aleena Domingo (1,081) started the club, becoming the second-highest scoring teammates in league history.
Immediate Impact
Playing in their first season with Humber, Brittney English, Makeba Taylor, and Jahnae Gyles have made an impact for the Hawks, playing in all 17 games this season. The trio has combined for 21.0 points, 3.8 assists, and 3.5 steals per game.
From Downtown
Jahnae Gyles and Ceejay Nofuente have combined for 4.7 triples per game this season, ranking third and fifth in the OCAA with 2.6 and 2.4 treys apiece, respectively.
Humber ranks first in the conference in 3-point field goals made per game (9.6).

The Hawks now own five OCAA team scoring records, including points in a season (1,658), points in a game (125), 2-point field goals in a game (55), 2-point field goals in a season (568), and 3-point field goals in a season (163).
All-Time List
Nofuente sits third on the OCAA all-time scoring list with 1,220 career points - 102 points behind Shannon Kennedy of St. Clair for second place.
With 1,081 points, Aleena Domingo trails Lindsay Panchan (Durham, 2014-17) for eighth all-time.
At the Helm
In Wednesday's win at UTM, head coach Ajay Sharma tied Hall of Famer Jim Henderson for the most wins in program history. Through 155 career games, Henderson and Sharma sport identical records of 133 wins and 22 losses.
Sharma has directed the Hawks to a period of unprecedented prosperity in the form of three consecutive CCAA tournament appearances – including the first national championship in program history – and three straight provincial titles.
2018 OCAA Provincial Championship
Humber is the proud host of the 2018 OCAA Women's Basketball Provincial Championship March 2-4 at the North Campus Gym. All games will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network.
