The Storyline
No. 11 Humber men's basketball (11-4, 3rd West) returns to the North Campus Gym Jan. 22 to conclude the season series with Niagara (4-9, 9th West). Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. and will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network.

Last Time Out
Humber used a 35-point third quarter to win its 11th consecutive game, beating No. 14 Fanshawe, 93-80. Jaylan Morgan dropped a team-high 24 points, while Jordon Francis added 14 and Alex Petronis recorded a Humber career-high with 12.

Previous Meeting
It took an extra period but the Hawks won their second game of the season with an overtime road win at Niagara, 95-88. Humber used a 21-10 run with six minutes remaining to force overtime, when Khalid Ismail took over to seal the victory. Ismail and Fowzi Mohamoud finished with 22 points, each.

Scouting Niagara

  • The Knights are led by fifth-year guard Lequan Hylton, who is ninth in the league in scoring averaging 20.1 PPG.
  • After falling to Humber in the OCAA semifinal, Niagara beat Seneca to win the bronze medal – the program's first medal since 2009.
  • The Hawks are 24-3 (.889) at home against Niagara all-time.

All-Canadian Push
Senior Jaylan Morgan is making a push to become Humber's first All-Canadian since 2004. Over his last three games, the Brampton native has scored 84 points on 64.8 percent (31-for-45) shooting from the floor. In Humber's win over Mohawk, Morgan became just the third player in program history to score 40-plus points in a game.

Raining Treys
Fowzi Mohamoud became Humber's three-point king on Jan. 11. Fourth-year DeQuon Cascart needs nine more triples to become just the third player in program history to record 100-plus three-pointers.

Movin' On Up
With a career record of 35-8, Coach Downey moves into fifth on Humber's all-time wins list.

Ranking
Humber's 11-game win streak has the Hawks ranked at 11 in the CCAA.

500-Point Club
Earlier this month, Jaylan Morgan and Fowzi Mohamoud became the newest members of Humber's 500-point club.

Home is Where the Heart is
Humber is 302-86 (.778) all-time at the North Campus Gym during the regular season.
