The Storyline
No. 11 Humber women's basketball (16-2, 2nd West) returns to the North Campus Gym Feb. 13 for its final regular season home game. The Hawks will host Mohawk (5-13, 8th West), with tipoff scheduled for 6 p.m.

The game will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network at 6 p.m. with Andrew Milani and Adam Lucier on the call, and Danielle Dupuis reporting from the sidelines.

The Matchup
Humber will conclude its regular season series with Mohawk on Wednesday. All-time, the Hawks are 19-6 against the Mountaineers at home and have won 12 straight contests – including four postseason victories.

Scouting Mohawk

  • The Mountaineers currently sit in the eighth and final playoff spot in the west division.
  • 2016-17 OCAA Rookie of the Year Award winner Same Pocrnic is leading the team in scoring. Her 345 points is the most in the conference this season.
  • The Mountaineers are on the verge of seeing their OCAA medal streak snapped. Since the 2013-14 season, Mohawk has captured four silver and one bronze medal.
  • Mohawk's last victory at Humber came during the 2011 campaign.

Previous Meeting
On Nov. 10, the Hawks cruised to a win over Mohawk at the David Braley Athletic Centre, 80-54. Leticia Lopez recorded a career-high 28 points, including seven 3-pointers. Miea Campbell-Johnson recorded a double-double, finishing with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Makeba Taylor added 12 points and eight assists.

Grad Night
Four Humber student-athletes will be honoured before the game. Leticia Lopez, Laura Meadows, Anna Jacobs, and Eboni Beals will be playing in their final regular season home game.

From Downtown
Humber is leading the league in 3-pointers made, hitting 142 triples at a 30.5 per cent clip. The Hawks are led by Leticia Lopez and her division leading 55 3-pointers – the second most in program history.

Boarding
Humber is the top rebounding team in the province, averaging 51.9 RPG.

Dimes
Second-year guard Makeba Taylor is averaging 4.9 assists-per-game - the top mark in the division.

500-Point Club
Against Fanshawe, Leticia Lopez became the 13th player to score 500-plus career points in a Humber uniform and now sits 11th on the all-time scoring list.

After dropping a career-high 35 points against Redeemer, Jahnae Gyles needs 25 more points to become the 14th member of Humber's 500-point club.

What's Next?
No. 11 Humber will wrap up the regular season on Feb. 15 at Sheridan (15-3, 3rd West). Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
