SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont -- No. 11 Humber women's basketball (13-2, 2nd West) squeezed out a win Saturday evening at Sault, 63-49.

Jahnae Gyles led the way offensively, finishing with a game-high 18 points and coming down with eight rebounds. For the rest of the Hawks, it was a tough night offensively as no one else had double figures in points.

The winless Cougars surprised the Hawks by giving them a good fight. Humber went into the third quarter with 43-40 lead. However, a big run in the final frame allowed the Hawks to escape with the victory. Humber shot a season-low from the field, finishing 31.2 per cent on 24-of-77 shooting from the floor. This win keeps Humber's undefeated streak against the Cougars alive; since their first meeting on Nov.19 2011, the Hawks are 15-0 against Sault College.
