HAWKS HEAD TO THE SAULT FOR TWO GAMES WITH THE COUGARS

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON: The no.1 Humber Hawks women's basketball (3-0, 6th West) program will be heading to Sault Ste. Marie this weekend for a back-to-back with the Sault College Cougars (0-6, 10th West).

Undefeated to begin the season, the nation's top-ranked Hawks extended their win streak against OCAA opponents to 40 consecutive games.  Their last win was against the Sheridan Bruins (0-5, 9th West), a game that saw four student-athletes finish with career-highs for Humber.

The Cougar's played one of their best games of the season last week in a 69-48 loss to the conference's second ranked program, the Mohawk Mountaineers (3-1, 4th West).  The 48 points by Sault was their second highest output on the season, including a season-high 15 points from Cassidy Sabourin.

When these two teams met last season, the Hawks outscored the Courgars 183-84 in the two game series.  In the first game, Ceejay Nofuente (Toronto) recorded a quadruple-double in the win, finishing with 17 points, ten rebounds, ten assists, and ten steals.

The Cougars joined the OCAA for the 2011 basketball season and since their inception, the Hawks have won all ten meetings.

The first game is scheduled for November 19th at 6:00pm and game two will be November 20th with tip-off set for 1:00pm.
