MEN'S BASKETBALL'S FOWZI MOHAMOUD NABS FRESHMAN HONOUR
Fowzi, although small in stature in what is a big man's game, played well beyond his published height. His upbeat style of play vaulted the Hawks into the conversation as one of the best teams in the OCAA, and a consistent CCAA National ranking spot. It not very often when a freshman player can find a starting spot on the Hawks team in their first year, and even rarer when they can contribute in a big way. He is a swift ball mover, with lethal shooting capabilities from beyond the 3-point arc. Moving forward, he will be a large part of the coaching staff plans in his second year with the team. Expectations will certainly be elevated, based his play this year, but it is a sure thing that he will stand tall and meet any and all challenges head on.
