The Storyline
No. 10 Humber men's basketball will conclude its 2017-18 regular season schedule Wednesday on the road at No. 4 Redeemer (18-1, 1st West). Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. and the live stream can be found by clicking here.
Last Time Out
On Grad Night at the North Campus Gym, the Hawks (15-4, 2nd West) used a 57-point second half to beat St. Clair (7-12, 8th West), 98-86. Byron Trench recorded his fourth double-double of the season, finishing with a team-high 18 points with ten rebounds.
DeQuon Cascart added 17 points, while Fowzi Mohamoud dropped 13 of his own.
Scouting Redeemer
- With a record of 18-1, the Royals have locked up the top-seed in the OCAA West Division.
- Prior to this season, Redeemer has had only one winning season since 2010, compiling a 42-84 (.333) OCAA record over that span.
- Rayvon Higdon leads the Royals offensively and is one of four players in the league to score 400-plus points this season.
- As a team, Redeemer is the most efficient scoring program in OCAA, shooting 45.7 percent (656-of-1434) from the floor.
- The Royals only loss this season came on the road to Fanshawe, 89-76, on Nov. 23.
Previous Meeting
After surpassing the century mark in five straight games, Humber fell to Redeemer 88-83 on Nov. 11. C.J. Bennett finished with a game-high 26 points in the loss, scoring 19 of Humber's 23 points in the fourth quarter.
The Hawks shot a season-low 16.7 percent (4-of-24) from 3-point range, as Redeemer defeated Humber for the first time in league play.
Rayvon Higdon recorded a 25-point, ten-rebound double-double, while Nick Green added 23 points, including five 3-pointers.
All-Canadian Contest
Both Rayvon Higdon and Kenny Ejim are candidates for CCAA All-Canadian honours.
Scoreboard Watching
The second-seed in the West Division is still up for grabs, as Humber and No. 15 Sheridan (15-4, 3rd West) will be playing Wednesday night. If the Hawks can take care of business, they will secure second place. A loss means the Bruins will finish in second place.

Despite trailing at the break in back-to-back affairs, Humber's second-half adjustments has seen the Hawks outscore their opponents by 30 points over those four quarters.

Humber has shot 70.0 percent or higher from the free throw line in five straight games, the longest streak in the Patrick Au era.
Alone at the Top
Kenny Ejim broke Doug Lawrie's single season 3-point record on Feb. 7 at UTM. Lawrie's record of 51 3-pointers made stood for 26 seasons.

Protecting the Rim
The Hawks have registered 5.3 blocked shots per game this year, the best mark in the conference. Byron Trench and Kenny Ejim rank fourth and tenth in the league with 1.5 and 1.1 blocks per game, respectively.
Since joining the team for the second-half, Nathaniel Nelson has registered 12 blocks in seven games.
Through 19 games Humber has recorded 100 blocked shots, the most in the Patrick Au era and the second most in program history.
Dual Threat
In Saturday's win over St. Clair, C.J. Bennett became the 13th player in program history to join the 300-point club. Bennett and Kenny Ejim are the first Humber teammates to score 300-plus points in a season since Patrick Rhodd and Larry McNeil accomplished the feat 27 years ago.
Efficiently Efficient
Jordan Rose continues to be the most efficient deep threat in the league, shooting 46.0 percent (23-of-50) from the 3-point range.
Fourth-year guard Curwin Elvis is second in the league in field goal percentage, shooting 59.7 percent (80-of-134) from the floor.

Kenny Ejim needs 18 points in his final game to become the third Humber player – first in 34 years – to score 400-plus points in a season.
