The Storyline
No. 14 Humber men's basketball (8-3, 3rd West) resume OCAA conference play Saturday afternoon when they host Conestoga (3-8, 9th West) at the Humber North Campus Gym. The game will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network at 3 p.m. with Mohammad Khosroshahi and Matt Hammel on the call, and Danielle Dupuis reporting from the sidelines.
French Connection
The Hawks went to Montreal over the holiday break, leaving Quebec with a 1-1 record. After an 89-62 win over Champlain (RSEQ), the Hawks fell to No. 3 Vanier (RSEQ), despite a game-high 31 points from C.J. Bennett. Humber falls to 1-3 against ranked opponents this season.
Last Time Out
Undermanned to conclude the 2017 portion of its schedule, Humber fell to Niagara 102-97 at the Welland Campus Athletic Centre on Dec. 9. Down 13 points with less than six minutes remaining, the Hawks went on a 20-8 run to cut Niagara's lead to one. Unfortunately, the Knights were able to hit their free-throws down the stretch, securing the five-point win.
Curwin Elvis, Fowzi Mohamoud and Jordon Francis each scored career-highs for Humber in the loss.

Humber continues to hit more 3-pointers than any West division team while leading the conference in 3-point percentage (37.5 percent). Kenny Ejim has hit 33 triples this season, the most in the CCAA.
Better than Average
Through 11 games, Humber is averaging 97.1 points-per-game, its highest total since the 1994-95 season (99.6 ppg). That year, the Hawks finished 17-1 and captured the programs fourth national title in five years.
Scouting Conestoga
The Conestoga Condors return to OCAA action after a 25-year hiatus and currently sit ninth in the OCAA West Division. After sweeping the series against Sault (0-10, 10th West), the Condors have lost six of their last seven games.
Shequell Gilgenous-Glasgow is Conestoga's top-scoring threat, sitting 21st in the league at 17.4 points per game.

Third-year forward Kenny Ejim dropped a game-high 29 points in Humber's 108-60 win at Conestoga. Byron Trench, Fowzi Mohamoud, and Curwin Elvis also contributed double-figures in the contest, posting 15, 11 and ten points respectively. The Hawks forced the Condors into 19 turnovers.
