ETOBICOKE, Ont – Forward Kenny Ejim had 24 points, and freshman Fowzi Mohamoud added a career-high 18 points, but the Humber men's basketball team (9-4, 4th West) fell to Lambton (8-5, 5th West), 103-97, in overtime at the North Campus Gym.
The Hawks rallied from a seven-point deficit in the fourth quarter to force overtime, but Humber was unable to overcome the Lions in the extra frame.
Trailing 74-67 with less than eight minutes to go in the fourth quarter, Humber made it a one-possession game with 0:06 remaining. Kenny Ejim took an inbound pass from DeQuon Cascart to hit a contested three to tie the game at 88-88 and force overtime.
Lambton began the extra frame with an 8-1 run before freshman Jordon Francis converted a corner three to bring the Hawks within four points.
Unfortunately for Humber, that was the only field goal they could make in the extra frame, finishing 1-of-9 (20 percent) from the floor. Lambton outscored Humber 15-9, winning the game 103-97.
