ANCASTER, Ont -- DeQuon Cascart scored 19 points, and the Humber bench contributed 35, but the No. 10 men's basketball (15-5, 3rd West) suffered a 94-82 loss at No. 4 Redeemer Wednesday night.
Redeemer (19-1, 1st West) took control of the game early before Humber was able to use a 10-2 run late in the opening frame to cut the Royals' lead to one. The Hawks offence began to stall in the second quarter, as early foul trouble kept Humber out of sync. Nathaniel Nelson provided a spark to the Humber offence, scoring ten points in the first half, but Redeemer took a 50-40 lead into the intermission.
Both teams exchanged buckets in the third frame, and it wasn't until the fourth quarter when Humber began its comeback. Kenny Ejim went on a 6-0 run to cut the Royals lead to three with over six minutes remaining, but that would be as close as Humber would get. All-Canadian Rayvon Higdon scored 20 of his game-high 32 points in the final quarter, securing Redeemer's 94-82 victory.
