Kumar Captures CCAA Silver Medal
MISSISSAUGA – After a gruelling three days of competition, Humber's Ramnish Kumar captured the 2020 CCAA Silver Medal.
With a 4-1 record through group play, Kumar made quick work of 2020 CCAA Player of the Year Roymond Kim in the semifinal round.
The win set up a rematch of the OCAA title game against Kumar's rival from Conestoga, Pranav Satheesh.
The main event did not disappoint, as the two exchanged points for over 50 minutes. Satheesh escaped in the final set, 22-20, to win the match, 2-1.
Kumar becomes the first player in program history to capture two CCAA medals in the men's singles discipline.
