Taneja Headlines Award Winners for Humber Badminton
Humber wins player of the year, men's and women's west regional titles, and seven all-star honourees at the 2020 OCAA Badminton Awards Banquet.
KITCHENER – Humber badminton garnered numerous accolades Wednesday morning when the league announced its yearly awards as determined by a polling of the conference's coaches.
Third-year Arpit Taneja was the headliner on the afternoon after he was named a CCAA All-Canadian, OCAA Men's Player of the Year, and a league all-star. The Ghaziabad native finished on the podium seven times this season, including a 5-0 finish at the West Regionals tournament. Taneja extends Humber badminton's All-Canadian streak to 12 straight seasons.
The Hawks had seven student-athletes earn All-Ontario honours, as well.
