2020 CCAA National Champions: Badminton Women's Doubles

MISSISSAUGA – Perfect again. Golden again.

Teammates Chloe Rowe and Susanna Quach ran the table at nationals, finishing the tournament with a perfect 7-0 record to capture the 2020 CCAA Women's Doubles National Championship. Humber finished the tournament outscoring its opponents, 294-140.

The duo made quick work of Jasleen Kaur and Johnna Rymes (Concordia, ACAC), sweeping the final in straight sets, 21-18, 21-14. After a controversial overturn in the first set, Concordia went on a three-point run and led the set at the break, 11-8. Rowe and Quach responded, quickly retaking the lead and never looking book.

For Susanna Quach, it was her first title in her first season with Humber badminton, but for Chloe Rowe, it was her fourth straight national title with four different partners.

Rowe's title makes her the most decorated female student-athlete in Humber history. The Newmarket native became the first player in Humber's badminton history to win four national titles and joins Mike Zizek (Golf), Ryan Willoughby (Golf), Eugenio Garro (Soccer), and Gerardo Magno (Soccer) as the only Humber student-athletes with four titles.

The title was the 53rd in school history and the duo extended Humber's CCAA title streak to 14 consecutive years.
