Badminton Advances All Five Disciplines to Provincials

ETOBICOKE – Two days and 121 matches later, the OCAA West Regional tournament concluded with Humber finishing top-two in all five disciplines.

Three-time national champion Chloe Rowe and partner Susanna Quach rolled through the tournament with a perfect 5-0 record. The duo combined to win each match by an average of 21-6.

Defending provincial champions Arpit Taneja and Ayubu Touray dominated regionals once again, finishing the two-day event 5-0 without dropping a set.

National champion Victoria Duong and partner Desmond Chan also finished the tournament perfect, not allowing their opponents to score more than 12 points in a set.

Defending national champion Ramnish Kumar cruised to finals, before falling to Conestoga's Pranav Satheesh in a tough three-set battle. Melissa Duong also snared a second-place finish for Humber, falling to Glyvette Etis in the finals.

Ben Houle finished in fourth place, while Lalaine Siy finished in fifth.
