The Storyline
No. 8 Humber women's basketball will look to capture the program's 11th provincial championship this weekend at the 2020 OCAA Championship, hosted by St. Clair College. Humber's quarter-final matchup will be against the Sheridan Bruins (10-9) with tipoff set for 8 p.m.
The Matchup
The Hawks have had trouble with the Bruins all season, picking up two wins by a combined three points. In the first meeting, Humber squeezed out a win after a buzzer-beater by Sheridan forced overtime. In their final meeting, Amber Bechard hit a layup as time expired to give Humber the win while clinching the West Division title.
Scouting Sheridan
- The Bruins come into the matchup fresh off defeating the UTM Eagles, 70-62 in the crossover round. Sheridan had lost their last five OCAA games prior to the win.
- Sheridan is led offensively by Theresa Brown and her 14.7 PPG.
