The Storyline
No. 8 Humber women's basketball will make its 30th consecutive postseason appearance Saturday evening against St. Lawrence (5-11, 7th East). Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. and will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network.

The Matchup
As the first seed in the West Division, the Hawks (17-1, 1st West) will host the St. Lawrence Vikings for a crossover game.

Scouting St. Lawrence

  • The Vikings come into the matchup as losers of their last five OCAA games.

Triple Threat
Humber finished the season leading the OCAA in three-pointers made with 155 on the year. Jahnae Gyles (44), Kia Watt (23), Britney English (21), and Ivana Twumasi (17) led the way for the Hawks.

At the Helm
In his ninth season, Coach Sharma is 18-7 (.720) all-time in OCAA postseason action. During his tenure, the Hawks have captured two national championships and four provincial titles. 

Floor General
Fourth-year guard Felicia Velasquez averaged 5.8 assists-per-game this season – the top mark in the OCAA.

Top Five
Jahnae Gyles concludes her Humber career with 749 points – the fifth most in program history. Gyles also helped Humber capture both an OCAA Provincial Championship and CCAA National Championship in 2018.

Percentages
Humber finished the regular season with a .900-plus win percentage for the sixth straight year and the 17th time since joining Division I in 1989.

With a win over St. Lawrence, No. 8 Humber will advance to the OCAA Final-Eight, hosted by St. Clair, Mar. 6 - 8.
