OSHAWA - The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) proudly announced Kennedy Williscroft of the Humber Hawks as the 2025 CCAA Women's Volleyball Player of the Year. She now joins elite company at Humber as only the third player in program history to garner the award - joining legends Landis Doyle (2011) and Kelly Nyhof (2014).

Williscroft, a second-year setter, made history this season as the first setter in Humber's storied program to be named OCAA Player of the Year and only the second to earn CCAA All-Canadian honours. She led the province in assists per set (8.73) and was pivotal in guiding Humber to an undefeated regular season and an OCAA Championship.

A proven leader on the court, Williscroft orchestrates Humber's offence precisely, using her elite knowledge of the game to create scoring opportunities for her hitters. Her poise under pressure, quick decision-making, and tactical awareness have set her apart as one of the nation's top playmakers.

"As the playmaker for her team, Kennedy was instrumental in Humber's success this season," said CCAA National Women's Volleyball Convenor Beth Clark. "She has good pace and placement paired with a solid volleyball IQ. She can quickly calculate, decide and execute, delivering great opportunities for her hitters."

Williscroft's leadership extends beyond her technical skills. She has never lost a match, boasting an incredible 42-0 career record. Humber dominated the OCAA West with an 18-0 season, leading the conference in swing percentage (.294) and points per set (17.4) while dropping only four sets all year.

Off the court, Williscroft is a dedicated leader within the Humber volleyball community. She volunteers at team camps, mentors young athletes, and participates in the team's annual holiday toy drive.

"Kennedy's knowledge and awareness for the game is on display every match," said Brian Lepp of Humber Polytechnic, "consistently putting her teammates in position to dominate offensively."
