CENTRAL DIVISION TOP SPOT IN PLAY AT OAKVILLE

OAKVILLE, ON: The Humber Hawks and Sheridan Bruins, with just two points separating them in the Central Division standings, will play a crucial game on Saturday in Oakville that will significant impact on the final standings and play-off match-ups.

A Hawk win outright would give them the Central Division crown, while a loss or tie would muddy the waters with both teams having a single game left on their schedule.

The two teams met earlier this year, a tight 2-1 win for the Hawks on their home field on Centennial Park. Humber led most of the way at 2-0, but the Bruins scored late and kept sustained pressure on the Hawks the rest of the way.

Both teams have shown they are able to score often, as evidenced by Sheridan's 22 and Humber's 21 goals in eight games. The Hawks have let in a division best four goals, while Sheridan is next with seven.

The Bruins have shared in the scoring, with ten players contributing goals. Kendra Cooper and Arianna Mouratidis lead the team with four markers each.

Humber checks in with nine players scoring this year, with Ashley Osorio among the league leaders, with seven.

Kick off, from Sheridan's Oakville Campus, is 12:00 noon.
