SENIOR AIGBOKIE GOAL SECURES HAWKS PERFECT REGULAR SEASON

VAUGHAN, Ont -- Fifth-year player Michael Aigbokie, playing in his last regular season game as a Humber Hawk, scored the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win over the Sheridan Bruins on Wednesday night at the OSA Centre. With the victory, the Hawks complete their second consecutive perfect regular season at 10-0, scoring 34 goals while only surrendering four.

Now back to Aigbokie, who is not only a fifth year Hawk, he is the elder statesman in age as this is his second stint at Humber. His goal at the 53:08 mark was his second of the season and 31st of his career. He currently ranks second in Hawks all-time history.

The game lacked the normal passion associated with the Hawks and the Bruins match-ups, as both teams have locked in for their respective play-off spots. Although both teams committed a number of fouls, none were serious enough to warrant any discipline.

Nick Frenati recorded the shutout and registered his fourth win of the season.

Aigbokie was selected as the "Hawk Nation" Player of the Game.

The Hawks will advance to the OCAA Championships at Fleming College, but their opponent has yet to be determined.
