No. 1 HAWKS CONTINUE TO ROLL WITH 4-0 HOME WIN

VAUGHAN, ON: The top-ranked team in the country flexed their muscles yet again on Wednesday night at home, as they defeated the Conestoga Condors by a score of 4-0. With the win, the Hawks have extended their unbeaten streak to 39 games.

The game against the winless and last place Condors squad was over early, with Humber tallying all four goals in the first half before emptying their bench in favour of valuable playing time for many players.

Danielle Clemente opened the scoring for the Hawks. Clemente continued his fine play, as his aggressiveness forced a Conestoga player to pull him down in the box which led to a penalty kick. Jaineil Hoilett stepped up and drilled the ball into the lower left side of the net to extend the lead to 2-0.

Once again, Clemente was instrumental in the third Hawks goal, with a cross into the box that eventually led to a tap-in strike by Bradley Fenton.

The final goal came off another penalty kick by Hoilett. Humber received the freebie off a handball by a Conestoga defender inside the top of the box. With the two markers, Hoilett is averaging a goal a game and pulled within a single goal of Luca Baldassarre's team-leading seven.

Humber will enjoy a Thanksgiving away from the pitch this coming weekend, but will return on Wednesday, October 11. They will entertain the George Brown "Huskies" at the Ontario Soccer Centre in Vaughan.  Please note the game time is 4:30 pm, and not the usual 6:30 pm slot.
