HAWKS SECOND HALF STARTS WITH FOUR KEY ROAD GAMES

ETOBICOKE, ON: Coming off another split series, the Hawks head on the road this weekend as they travel to play the Fanshawe Falcons and St. Clair Saints. Humber (8-4 3^rd OCAA) takes on Fanshawe (4-8 5^th OCAA) on Saturday, and St. Clair (10-4 1^st OCAA) on Sunday. Currently, the Hawks have split both two game sets with Fanshawe and St. Clair as they look to win both series' this weekend and push towards first place in the OCAA.

Last time out vs Fanshawe

In their previous meeting the Hawks were looking to salvage a series split with the Falcons. It was a bounce back game for Humber as the bats would be hot throughout the game, scoring runs in each of the innings that they played. Elisa Gregoris, Aaliyah Davidson, Jenna Hillman, Meaghan Murphy, and Bonnie Gillingham drove in the runs for the Hawks, with Davidson, Gillingham and Gregoris hitting doubles in the effort. On the mound, Humber sent right-hander Rachel Matheson-Green to stop the Fanshawe offense. Matheson-Green was stellar for the Hawks as she allowed four hits over her five innings and improved to 3-0 on the season. Humber wins, 10-0.

Last time out vs St. Clair

In their last meeting, Humber was coming off a disappointing 6-0 loss to the hands of the Saints in game one of their double header. This one was a much better effort by the Hawks on both sides of the ball. It started with Myranda Pierson who was masterful over her five innings of work. Pierson allowed three runs (two earned), on two hits through her five innings before passing the ball off to fellow right-hander Samantha MacCallum who shut the door on the Saints in her two innings on the mound to preserve the win for the Hawks. Offensively, Aaliyah Davidson was the star going 2-3 with a double, triple and three RBIs. Bonnie Gillingham and Terah Camilleri tacked on sac-fly's to ensure the win. Humber wins 5-3.

Scouting St. Clair

• St. Clair comes into action after a split with Conestoga this past Sunday.
• Saints are averaging just over seven and a half runs for per game, and allowing an even three runs per game.
• St. Clair's offense has not been as stellar at home as they are on the road. At home, they've scored 27 runs in six games, whereas on the road, the Saints have scored 81 runs in eight games.
• Notable players: OF – Madisyn Clark (.462 AVG, 17 runs), C/IF – Alexandra Senft (.450 AVG, 10 RBI, 4 2B), P – Olivia Elliott (2.28 ERA, 43 IP, 42 Strikeouts)

Hawk Notes

• The Hawks are pretty even offensively at home and on the road, scoring 33 runs at home and 40 runs on the road in six games apiece.
• Although the runs are even, there is a big difference in batting average away from home turf. Humber is hitting .269 on the road, whereas at home they are hitting .340
• Key to success for the road trip: in wins the Hawks have an ERA of 2.25, in losses it soars to 6.23. As well, their fielding percentage drops nearly 70 points in losses as opposed to victories.

Following their road trip this weekend, the Hawks will travel to Seneca College - Newnham on October 10^th for doubleheader action. First pitches are slated for 6:00pm and 8:00pm.
