HAWKS TRAVEL TO ANCASTER FOR BOUT WITH RED-HOT ROYALS

Etobicoke, ON: The Humber Hawks women's volleyball team (3rd West) is gearing up for Wednesday, January 16th, when they will travel to Ancaster. Here, they will take on the Redeemer Royals (6th West), who are currently running on a five-game winning streak.

Going into this match, the Humber Hawks are boasting a 24-0 record against the Royals. 

LAST TIME OUT VS REDEEMER:

The last time these teams faced off was on October 25th, 2018. This was the first match of the OCAA season for the Humber Hawks, and they were able to play their whole bench as they finished the game 3-0. (25-13, 25-20, 25-17)

  • Currently, the Royals are on a winning streak of five, with all of these wins being on home court.

  • The Hawks currently rank 1st in the OCAA for digs this season, along with digs per set. They average 15.7 per set and have a total of 581 digs.
  • Humber has only lost one away game this season, to the St. Clair Saints.
  • Kyla Wilkins currently leads the Hawks in defence, ranking 1st in the OCAA for overall digs with 145 in total.

  • Kyla Wilkins continues to extend the Humber Varsity record for digs in a career, and has recently became first in the OCAA for digs this season. She has made a total of 557, and is en route to hit 600 by the end of the season.
