HAWKS FACE FAMILIAR FOE IN OCAA QUARTER-FINAL MATCH-UP WITH SHERIDAN
ETOBICOKE, ON: The Humber Hawks women's volleyball team, by way of their crossover playoff win over George Brown on Saturday, will continue the quest for their twelfth consecutive OCAA women's volleyball title at 3:00 pm this Friday afternoon at Cambrian College in Sudbury. Sheridan, who upset the highly ranked Canadore Panthers in four sets on Saturday, will provide the opposition.
REGULAR SEASON IMPACT
The Hawks ended in third in the West Division with a 14-4 record. They ranked third in the OCAA and 14th nationally.
Sheridan finished in sixth place in the West, not able to get to .500 and checked in with a 8-10 mark.
OF NOTE HISTORICALLY
The two teams have played 44 times in regular season play, with Humber winning 43 times. The only loss at the hands of the Bruins was in 1991. The two teams have met sparingly in playoff action, with Humber winning all match-ups.
ON A ROLL
Humber has won three straight and seven of eight. Their latest win was a four-set home playoff win over George Brown.
With the playoff win over Canadore, Sheridan has won two straight and five of six.

OF NOTE
Former Hawks setter Celine Blanchette transferred into a new program at Sheridan after graduation from Humber and has been an impactful player in the Bruins line-up. She will be supported by her parents, as she was with every game she put on a Humber uniform, who will surely be in the crowd on Friday.
THE SIDELINE REPORT
Scott Hunt, the head coach of the Sheridan Bruins, has vaulted the Bruins into the upper echelon of OCAA teams since he took over the helm five years ago.
Chris Wilkins is the winningest coach in Humber history, and now holds a mark of 356 OCAA and CCAA league and playoff wins, against only 47 losses. As mentioned earlier, he has led his team to eleven straight OCAA titles and his winning streak of 156 games was finally cut off earlier this year.
