HAWKS MOVE BACK INTO CONTENTION WITH HUGE ROUND 2
WELLAND, Ontario: The Humber Hawks men's golf team, looking like a squad that would be unable to defend its nine consecutive OCAA crowns after the first round at the OCAA Championship, have shaved eleven strokes of Niagara College's lead and now sit a mere three strokes back heading into the third and final round.
With poor weather conditions, the ability to make up a significant deficit seemed far-fetched, but Humber's mark of 283 was eleven strokes better than the Knights 294.
The weather for the third and final round appears to be the best of the three days, and should provide close to ideal conditions for the contenders.
