WOMEN’S CURLERS FALL JUST SHORT OF OCAA GOLD

HAMILTON, ON: The Humber Hawks women's curling team took Fanshawe right down to the wire in the 2019 OCAA women's curling gold medal game, forcing the Falcons skip to draw to the button with the last shot in the last end.

The Hawks had scored one in the seventh to tie the match at 2-2, but with hammer, the London squad held a significant advantage.

Humber had advanced to the finals by way of a 3-1 round robin mark, and a semi-final win over the host Mohawk Mountaineers. Their only losses came at the hand of Fanshawe.

The team of Quinn Walsh, Brittany Elson, Mikayla Ottogalli and skip Cassie Paccanaro were awarded silver medals, and have advanced to the 2019 CCAA National Championships in March.
