Death. Taxes. Kaitlynn Russell recording a tally. It's almost becoming automatic that when Russell steps on the pitch, she will score. The Mississauga native recorded two goals this week as No. 4 Humber extended its unbeaten streak to begin the season to five straight matches.

After being held scoreless in her first two career matches, Russell has scored in nine straight regular-season games, recording 19 tallies during that span.

Folks were talking about Brandon Deans since his first day of camp, comparing the big righty to the former flame thrower for the Hawks, Jeff Gibbs. After earning a huge win over St. Clair in his debut, Deans took the mound this week in another road start, this time against Seneca. Deans was firing on cylinders and struck out the side through the first two innings. He also proceeded to strike out the side in the fourth and fifth inning. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Deans blew a fastball by Roberto Pagliero, recording his 16th strikeout of the game and setting a new OCAA single-game record.
