Dennis, Andrews earn Humber Student-Athlete of the Week honours

Cassidy Andrews and Raheem Dennis have earned Humber Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week honours for the week of Jan. 23 to Jan. 29.

It was another big week for No. 2 Humber women's volleyball, picking up two wins and improving to 15-0 to begin the season. Cassidy Andrews had a fantastic week for the Hawks, recording 28 points in Humber's two victories. 

In a battle with the top two teams in the west division, Andrews finished with a match-high 17 points. The Guelph native finished the day with an incredible 0.800 (13-for-15) swing percentage, adding two aces and two blocks. 

Andrews has quietly put together an impressive season for the Hawks, already establishing new career highs in points, kills, and blocks.

For Andrews, it's her second Humber Athlete of the Week selection.

Raheem Dennis had a big game for Humber, helping the Hawks leave Ancaster with a win over Redeemer on Saturday, 77-65.

The Mississauga native was extremely efficient from the floor, finishing with 17 points on six-of-eight shooting (75 per cent). Dennis added seven rebounds and an assist, in just 25 minutes of work. 

For Dennis, it's his first Humber Athlete of the Week selection.
