ATHLETICS TO RELEASE TOP-50 MOMENTS
ETOBICOKE, Ont -- In celebration of Humber College’s 50th anniversary, the department of athletics is excited to announce the release of the top-50 moments during Humber’s prestigious athletic history.
Over the last half-century, student-athletes competing for Humber have won 269 provincial championships and 47 national championships, while 132 athletes have been recognized as CCAA All-Canadians.
After careful deliberations between Humber Athletics’ top-brass – past and present – a list of over 100 moments was created. Once a few more hours of conversation and debate concluded, the list was narrowed down to the top-50 moments, in no particular order.
In the weeks ahead, each moment will be retold, continuing the legacy and rich tradition Humber Athletics has built its reputation upon.
Beginning Monday, July 17, one moment will be released daily, leading up to Humber Athletics 50th anniversary weekend taking place on September 22 and 23. This exciting weekend will be full of history, memories and events to help Humber alumni reminisce the past and honour Humber’s transition into one of the country’s leading institutions.
