The Storyline
The Humber men's basketball team will continue its three-game road trip Oct. 26, heading to Hamilton to face the Mohawk Mountaineers (1-0, 4th West). Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m.
Last Time Out
The new-look Hawks opened the 2018 campaign with a dominating 96-70 win at Fanshawe. Humber combined to shoot 48.5 per cent (33-of-68) from the floor. The Humber defence forced Fanshawe into 28 turnovers and head coach Samson Downey picked up his first career OCAA victory.
Scouting Mohawk
- Mohawk opened the season with a slim 96-93 victory at UTM (0-1, 7th West) Oct. 20.
- Freshman Emanuel Otong paced the way for Mohawk, finishing with a 28-point, 13-rebound double-double.
- The 2018-19 Mountaineers feature eight freshmen this season.
Previous Meeting
Humber beat the Mountaineers, 95-81, in its final meeting last season. Curwin Elvis finished with 17 points, on eight-of-ten (80.0 per cent) shooting from the floor.
