TEN MORE HAWKS NAMED OCAA ACADEMIC ALL-STARS

TORONTO, ON: After a very successful season on the court and in the field, Humber Hawk varsity athletes continue to snare accolades. This time ten more student-athletes have been named as OCAA Academic All-Stars. This brings the year total to an amazing 45 student-athletes earning this designation.

To receive this honour, student-athletes have to be a member in good standing of a varsity athletic team, and attain an 80% average in the semester they are competing in. Should the student-athlete be further honoured as a league all-star or major award winner, they would also be recognized as a CCAA Academic All Canadian.

The Humber Hawks varsity program currently involves 235 student-athletes, and the 45 athletes honoured equates to almost 20% of the group achieving honours. Truly remarkable, and a credit to the athletics leadership group, led by Monique Haan and Crystal Pole-Langdon in their roles as Academic Advisors. Each and every year, the graduation rate of Humber student-athletes continues to rise.
