HAWKS WOMEN FALL BACK BUT STILL LOOK FOR PODIUM FINISH
WELLAND, Ontario: The Humber Hawks women's golf team, who led by two strokes after the first round, ran into a buzz saw team from Georgian and now find themselves sixteen strokes back with one round to go.
The Hawks best two scores on Tuesday were identical 82's, while Georgian put up matching 73's.
Humber currently sits in second place, four strokes up on St. Clair for the silver, but seemingly in control of a medal finish as they are seventeen strokes ahead of the fourth place squad.
Individually, all three Humber players are close to a bronze medal finish, but gold and silver look out of reach.
The third and final round will take place on Wednesday, and the weather conditions look to be the best of all three days.
